Here is a list of upcoming canine related training around Wisconsin. WLECHA sponsors two such events per year by awarding the host agency a $500 grant to help cover expenses.

K-9 Tracking Workshop

Ron Ligtenburg is the owner of Ronin Dog Training, and the primary instructor for this class. Mr. Ligtenburg & Ronin Dog Training are based in The Netherlands. Ronin Dog Training seminars and classes are for Police or Military working dogs. All the training methodologies are geared towards getting the dogs ready for real work and are not sport orientated.  For more information visit:

SKIDDS/CATS CLASS

The goal of this 3 day course is to educate and train Patrol Officers, SWAT operators and K9 handler on the deployment of a police dog in a high risk / tactical operation such as: tactical tracking, barricaded suspects, live gunfire, approaches, entries, blind corners, room clearing, hallways, stairs, attics, crawl spaces, vehicle assaults, arrest techniques and even in a gas environment.  TRAINING IS IN ST. CLOUD, MN.
