President's Message

Greetings!

Spring is right around the corner and warm weather will be upon us very soon.  I trust everyone has been keeping up with training and planning to attend the 2010 Conference in Marinette, hosted by Todd Skarban of the Oconto County Sheriffs Department.

2010 Dues Notice

Secretary Craig Orlowski recently sent out renewal notices to all members that did not attend the 2009 Conference in Adams County.  It appears we are right around 95 members in good standing with the Association.  If you have not submitted you payment for your 2010 membership, please do so ASAP and take full advantage of our website, newsletter and our annual working conference.  W.L.E.C.H.A. has stated a trend throughout the United States with more and more Associations going to some sort of working conference.  Please keep our membership strong and renew TODAY!  Craig and Curtis Goens, Treasurer, have been working hard on producing an accurate listing of the membership.  Please contact any one of us if your name does not appear on the website or you discover you are not receiving any information from us.

NEWSLETTER AND WEBSITE HELP

Louise needs articles for the newsletter!  Please send her some today!  Please check the website and make sure you are on the member list.  Chad Niles (Waukesha Sheriffs Department) will soon be updating our website and changing out photos and articles of interest.   If you have any questions about it, please send me or Chad (CNiles@waukeshacounty.gov) an email or leave me a message at work.  CHAD…YOU ARE GOING TO CHANGE SOME PHOTOS RIGHT????

(Yes Jay, I am changing some photos!)

WE NEED SPONSORS!!

We still are looking for sponsors for the website and newsletter.  If anyone has a contact or a business that might be interested in advertising in our newsletter and website please let me know.

Raffle sales went well this past year and thanks again to everyone that sold tickets.  Special thanks to Chris Deakin for putting all the packets and prizes together….not an easy task to say the least.  Because of the great response we got, we will once again be awarding two $500.00 scholarships to assist agencies with associated costs in running a 2010 seminar.  Applications are due by March 1st, 2010.  You can email me any questions!
