Jay Johnson is a Lieutenant with the City of Greenfield Police Department and has been employed there since 1991. Lieutenant Jay Johnson has been a member of the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Canine Handler Association since 1994 and has served as President since 2000. He handled a patrol dog from 1994 to 2001. He is the Canine Unit Supervisor for the City of Greenfield. He has attended canine related seminars throughout the United States and served on several handler selection boards as an advisor. He graduated from the FBI National Academy Class #235 in 2008.

Craig has been with the Adams County Sheriff's Department since 2001 and a handler since 2005. He hosted the fall conference in 2009 and was elected to the position then. Craig is devoted to his wife and two children. He enjoys all outdoor sports and is a frequent hunter and fisherman. He hopes to be a canine handler for the rest of his career.

Curtis has been with the Franklin Police Department since 1997 and a member of WLECHA since 1999. He has a handler from 1999 to 2007 with K-9 Brando, a dual purpose Belgian Malinois. Curtis is the sergeant assigned to supervise the three-dog unit for the department.

Jim has been in law enforcement since 1992. He was one of the first canine handlers for Madison Police Department when the unit was created in 2005. Jim was elected to the association board in 2009. He currently is working a Belgian Malinois named Johnny.

Larry Slamman
Glendale Police Department

Larry is a Sergeant with the Glendale Police Department and has been employed there since 1988. Larry has been a member of WLECHA since 1999 when he began as a canine handler with his partner K-9 Kodee. In 2009, K-9 Kodee was retired and the Glendale Police Department purchased a new dog. After retiring Kodee, Larry became the Canine Unit Supervisor for the Glendale Police Department. Larry has assisted several agencies in the development of their canine programs and handler selections. Larry's goal is to keep improving the quailty of the dogs on the street. In his off-time, Larry enjoys spending time with his wife Paula and daughter Allison.

Brad is a Deputy Sheriff with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department and has been in law enforcement since 1996. In addition to his canine handler responsibilities, Brad is also on the Tactical Enforcement Unit. Brad retired Tangka this spring and is training his second dog, Gordy from Vohne Liche Kennels.
